2641 White Oak started out as a cute little 2 bed 1 bath brick cottage on a granite foundation. The interior had not been updated in decades and most of the pretty old hardwood floors were covered up by carpet. There were stairs leading up to an attic space so we decided to expand the back but leave the front façade. It allowed enough space upstairs for an awesome master suite with vaulted ceilings that felt like it was in the trees, a laundry room and a good sized 4th bedroom. We opened up 2 walls downstairs that gave an open concept between the kitchen, dining and living rooms. We also opened up the stairs to make the living room feel even bigger and finally, we added a built-in pet nook under the stairs for good measure (because dogs rule, of course). -Alana
